Are you using SQL?
The Structured English Query Language (SQL) is a powerful and flexible database language, available on most computer systems in the industry. While not heavily used in the past, SQL has become the database language of the future for the iSeries. Enhance your skills by adding SQL to your toolbox. SQL skills not only increase your capabilities on the iSeries, but they are also required when programming in Java and Visual Basic (VB). Learn more
about SQL in DMC's SQL
training class.
Why Embed SQL in RPG?
As stated above SQL is the database language of the future for the iSeries. But, RPGIV is a powerful programming language that provides a granular level of control. Merging the detailed programming options of RPGIV with the dynamic and efficient database processes of SQL creates a hybrid program that achieves results a program written solely in either RPGIV or SQL could not achieve. Learn more
about embedding SQL in RPGIV programs in DMC's Embedded SQL
training class.
